STRONGER INTERNATIONAL CLIMATE AGREEMENTS

The climate crisis doesn’t stop at borders — and neither should our solutions.
America can’t lead the world if we sit on the sidelines while other nations write the rules. We must return to global leadership — forging fair, ambitious, and enforceable agreements that unite the world around survival, innovation, and justice.

THE PROBLEM

    • Global climate goals are falling short, with emissions continuing to rise despite decades of warnings.

    • The U.S. has lost credibility by entering and exiting agreements like the Paris Accord based on shifting politics.

    • Many developing nations want to cut emissions but lack funding and technology to make it possible.

    • Fossil fuel–rich countries and corporations continue to block progress through lobbying and disinformation.

    • Without American leadership, autocracies and polluters fill the vacuum — setting weaker standards and undermining progress.

The planet can’t wait for partisan politics — and neither can the rest of the world.

OUR PLAN - LEAD THE WORLD TOGETHER

We’ll restore America’s climate leadership by building global coalitions grounded in fairness and accountability:

  • Rejoin and Reinforce the Paris Agreement — Commit to deeper, binding emissions cuts and transparent reporting.

  • Create a Global Clean Tech Alliance — Pool R&D, patents, and manufacturing between democratic nations to speed clean energy deployment.

  • Fair Climate Financing — Increase U.S. investment in international green funds to help developing nations adopt renewable energy and adapt to changing conditions.

  • Trade for the Planet — Use trade agreements to reward low-emission manufacturing and penalize pollution-heavy imports.

  • Global Carbon Standards — Work toward unified accounting of carbon intensity across industries and nations.

  • Human Rights & Environment Link — Tie environmental cooperation to democratic governance, worker protections, and anti-corruption measures.

  • Climate Diplomacy Corps — Train and deploy experts to assist allied countries in implementing climate mitigation, adaptation, and disaster management strategies.

WHY IT MATTERS

Leadership means showing up — not walking away when it’s inconvenient.
When America leads with science, fairness, and innovation, the rest of the world follows. Cooperation isn’t charity — it’s the only way humanity wins.
