LIFELONG LEARNING AND SCHOLARSHIPS

Education doesn’t end with graduation — it’s a lifelong partnership between citizens and their future.
In a world that changes faster than ever, Americans need the chance to learn, adapt, and grow at every age.
Knowledge isn’t a privilege; it’s infrastructure — and we should fund it like roads, power, and clean water.

THE PROBLEM

  • College costs have skyrocketed, trapping millions in student debt.

  • Older workers who want to retrain often find no affordable or flexible programs.

  • Many high school graduates never attend college, yet career education opportunities remain scarce.

  • Scholarships and grants are too complex to navigate, leaving aid unclaimed every year.

  • Companies invest in automation but not in retraining their people to use it.

A modern economy can’t thrive when education is frozen in the past.

OUR PLAN - EDUCATION THAT NEVER ENDS

We’ll build a lifelong learning system that meets people where they are — from school to retirement:

  • Universal Lifelong Learning Accounts — Every American gets a publicly funded account for continuing education, renewable every decade.

  • Debt-Free College & Vocational Training — Expand scholarships and public options to eliminate tuition for two- and four-year degrees and accredited trade programs.

  • Mid-Career Retraining Grants — Offer paid sabbaticals for workers to upgrade skills without losing income or benefits.

  • Digital Learning Infrastructure — Create an open national platform for online education — free, accredited, and accessible to every citizen.

  • Employer Education Partnerships — Give tax credits to businesses that fund employee tuition and certification programs.

  • Scholarship Simplification Act — Streamline all federal and state aid into one clear, automatic application system.

  • Senior Learning Initiative — Fund community-college and library programs to help older adults stay mentally active and digitally literate.

  • Education for Service — Forgive student debt for those who teach, serve in public health, conservation, or civic projects for at least four years.

WHY IT MATTERS

Lifelong learning is how democracy keeps evolving.
Every generation deserves the tools to understand the world they’re building — and to leave it better than they found it.
When we invest in people’s minds, we secure our nation’s future.

“Education isn’t an expense — it’s a renewable resource.”
